People ask me why i'm single

And in my mind I reply....

Because the sun doesn't stop shining in the middle of the sky

And neither will I even with no one by my side

Because roses are not meant to be forgotten with time

And neither will I let my beauty be defiled by your familiarity 

 

People ask me why i'm single

And in my mind I reply....

Because the wind doesn't stop blowing just because the seasons change

And neither will i let a presence of the lack  define me

 

People ask me why i'm single

And in my mind I reply....

Because the sun's light doesn't dim just because there is clouds in the sky

And neither will i let loneliness overcome me

 

People ask me why i'm single

And in my mind I reply....

Because I'd rather be your Queen sitting on my throne than the mistress you use and return 

And neither will I be regarded as such

 

People ask me why i'm single

And in my mind I reply....

Because im waiting for someone great 

And i Will take nothing less

 

People ask me why i'm single

And to them i simply shrug my shoulders in reply 

Because speaking the words on my mind would be wasted of such a feeble set of mind

And I have no intention of wasting my time.
