Why I Write

Sun, 03/09/2014 - 11:36 -- Ekaneti
I write to silence the ticking bomb inside of me.
To finish the countdown at one
and not drown in the pool of the unknown number.
I write to achieve far-fetched ambitions, and to surmount my inhibitions.
I form essays, or homework,
even poems and quotes.
I compose statements in my powerful words.
I mold my pieces into abstract art,
they allow others to comprehend
what I worked so hard to blend.
I write in an office, or in my classrooms,
in a bedroom, or the bathroom.
Wherever, whenever, however, doesn't matter.
Out of boredom, so random, a companion, my anthem.
Assignments, orders, commands, pleads
are not necessary.
My desire, drive; I strive to speak my mind.
Writing is my life; It's in my blood and in my brain.
I think in ink, I believe and truly agree.
I trust, and I must write.
So if you want some writing, read this!
