I am a poet, and yes I do know it.

I'm not one of the most articulate, not one of the most beautiful,

My words are set on fire by the passion in my heart

The words flow from my innermost to the paper, unconstrained.

I don't write to make pretty little rhymes that bring smiles and laughter

I write to free my mind and cleanse my soul from the dirt and filth that's slathered on by this world

 I'm no Angelou or Frost, I'm just Deserea Ross

And I write because it's all I can do.
