Why I write

I write because its how I think,

how I formulate my thoughts onto a piece of paper.

I write because paper does not judge,

it does not care

for the color of my skin or the length of my hair,

it does not concern itself with how smart or how thin i may be,

it only cares for the words I depart onto it.

I write because I'm afraid,

I fear the words of hate others will spew if they hear what i have to say,

I write because it allows me the freedom to speak my mind

and free my secrets, without the all seeing public eye.

I write becuase no matter how bizarre or strange my thoughts may be,

they always seem right and clear to me.

I write So that I may express the way I feel,

Understand my own words, clear my thoughts

be heard by no one but myself,

see that it is written down and release the repressed emotions that I seem to hide.

I write because there is no limit on what I can say,

My words may travel for many miles away.

I write because the more I do so the the more I create

It  takes the shape of my minds picture

And what begins to formulate can rival that of Michelangelo’s Night and Day.

I write because its not when I write or how I write but why I write,

Why I write is because, to put it plainly, it make me happy.
