Why does misery knock?

Luke 19:41-42

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you,

especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

The night is far spent in the middle of the day.

Why does most of darkness show when the Son is shining?

Why does so much misery ... knock on every door

through news that blasts daily ... into this heart of mine?

Things are getting better ... but for who I ask?

For the few and privileged ... who know every trick?

They’ll stay on top of the heap while others are suffocating

deep down at the bottom ... with the hungry and sick.

Yes Father Abraham with Lazarus on your bosom

you seem to understand ... what befalls the upper.

When will we learn our lessons and know that God is awesome?

He will hand out our deserve ... to be known at the “last” supper.
