Who's To Blame?

Sun, 04/12/2015 - 12:07 -- Sylis

I often wonder who's more at fault
Me, you, or the "friends" that talked?
Was it the pleasant lies or the barren truth
That created and finally tightened the noose?
It taunts me in my nightmares and haunts me in dreams
It taught me not to trust those who say things they don't mean
It's turned me kinda paranoid, and I jump at every noise
I lock these feelings behind the scenes, but it's really not my choice
Because when a heart in split in twain
There's often more than one to blame
