Who Can Touch Us Now?

Ten feet off the ground

Who can touch us now?

Grab my hand.

Hold it tight.

Look where we stand.

There’s no need to fight.

Under the stars,

The coldness surrounds us.

Entranced in everything you have to say,

I don’t seem to notice.

There in the grass

After years of surrounding myself

I watch my walls crash.

The dust floats away with the wind

As I brush off the truth that’s been hidden

Ever so deeply.

The stars glow above us

As we dive into the darkness within us.

Ten feet off the ground

Who can touch us now?
