Who am I?
I’m just a girl who’s been bullied
Misunderstood
Made fun of
And taken advantage of her whole life
I’m that person who’s always been too afraid to say what she felt
Because no one supported her
I’m that girl who wants to help people;
No matter what I’ve been through
I know that there are people out there
Who have been through the same thing and worse
I do not want them to give up on themselves
I never wanted anyone else to feel all the pain
And the heartache
And the sadness because
I know what it feels like
Even if not from my own experience
I’ve seen it
And my heart can automatically connect
With the people who have felt pain
I don’t want that for others
I don’t want them to lose hope like I almost keep losing mine
But finally
For once I found strength again
God gives me my strength
And when I feel all alone
He’s the only one I know truly believes in me
I am that girl who just wants to for once be able to believe in herself
But who am I really?
I am hope
I may not always feel strong
But I know that I can get through anything
Even though I may stumble or fall
I won't give up on myself because I know
I am strong
Hope is always able to see the light in the darkness
Even when it feels like all hope is lost
It's always there
We all have that one part inside of us
Telling us never to give up
Even when we feel like this life isn't worth living
Hope is there always telling you not to give up
I'll admit we don't always listen to it
A lot of times we're too afraid to believe anymore
We don't want to believe and be let down again
But trust me
Nothing you're going through is worth taking your life
Or destroying yourself about it
You are so much more
I know it's hard
Maybe unbearable even
But no matter how hard it is
You can not give up on yourself
You can make it through anything
You can't give up
You never know how close you are to making it
There will always be times when we feel like giving up
I've been there but
I didn't
I refused to give up because
I know there is so much more to this life than this
So I'm here to let you know that I'm here for you
Don't give up
You can make it
I know you can
So I'm here
And I'm reaching out to you
I want to be your hope
Just like you are mine
I am here because of you
I want to be
