Who Am I?

Who am I?

No one knows.

Not me.

I am a beautiful mystery.

Just one tiny cell,

You can't even see.

No heart,

No brain,

No fingerprint,

No personality,

Yet,

But it will all be there.

I have all the potential I need.

I am being made.

Who will I be?

Who knows?

No one.

Not me.

But I am.

And I will be.

Finding who I am,

Is Life's adventure.

A DNA miracle.

I am a little boy.

I divide and multiply.

I grow to trillions of times my size.

A tiny heartbeat is in my chest.

I'm starting to develop eyes.

I like to wiggle and explore.

I have a nose, two ears, a mouth, and more.

My baby brain is making waves.

I can hear you talking.

Are you talking about me?

I like it when you sing.

I don't like coffee.

Check it out - I have eyebrows!

I can see light.

I wonder what's out there.

I like sucking my thumb.

I'm practicing my breathing,

And I think I've learned to hiccup.

I weigh almost five pounds now!

I'm sorry - I didn't mean to kick you.

I'm just exploring.

It's getting snug in here,

But I like it here.

It's warm and safe and soft,

Like a forever hug.

And I love you.

And I can't wait to meet you,

Very soon.

I am still growing.

And I will grow for years and years.

Even when my body stops,

My mind will grow forever.

Who knows what I will know?

Who knows who I will be?

No matter who, I started here.

My life,

My adventure.

Thank you for carrying me.
