Where is Superman?

Kids on the street
Insomnia haunts their sleep
They say "Mama says superman will save us"

The kids smile everyday and cry all night

All they want is superman to save the day

They pray day and night as they watch their family dwindle

Like candles burning in the night their hopes fade

The police call what they do vandalism

Their vandalism is a form of expression. It's their art.

Their spirit breaks as they cry out for "Superman"

Where is this superman to save the day?

The hope and light in these kids eyes dies

They no longer believe they just deceive

They stop having a reason. An inspiration.

They stop expressing and start missing.

Where is this superman to save the day?

Why isn't he helping these kids when they pray?
