Where my journey begins

This is where my journey begins

Now that Mother has driven off,

This is where my virtues are tested,

Now that I am surronded by strangers,

This is where I am free,

Now I can go wherever and do whatever I please,

This is where I decide,

Now there is no one to do it for me,

This is where we are the same,

Now my background is irrelevant and future determines who I am,

This is where I sleep,

Now that I have a new bed and room,

This is where I experience what is ahead,

Now in hope that I will not dread,

For my journey begins, in college.
