I'm from the believers of the nuclear family- a mom, a dad, and two kids-- together as one.
I'm from the "stand up straight" and "look both ways before crossing the street."
I'm from the big, warm hugs and deep, meaningful conversations.

I'm from the hard-workers, the ladder-climbers, and the blue-collars.
I'm from a long line of people-pleasers,
The ones who believe in getting the job done, right, the first time.

And because of where I'm from and those I love,
I am inspired to be the young woman I am--past, present, and future.
