Where I'm From

Tue, 01/17/2017 - 13:12 -- courier

I am from sunny days

from weeping willow trees and flower crowns.

I am from bare feet in soft, green grass

and swinging on a tire swing on hot days.

From old friends,

To new ones.

I am from sugary peppermint sticks

and homemade fried chicken.

From apples and oranges, as sweet as can be.

And picking blackberries in my grandpa's backyard

to

I am from computers and TVs.

From an electronic filled world

I am from playing Guitar Hero 5 with my brother,

to watching horror movies with my mom.

I am from a loving family,

and terrific friends.

From falling asleep early,

to I hope this day never ends.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
