When Liberty Calls

As I lay to sleep each night
As I wake for each day
There are those who rise and fight
For the freedom that we pray
The bells are ringing like an endless song
As Uncle Sam looks me in the eyes
Lady Liberty knows it won’t be long
Before I confront my lies
I stand
I fight
For the freedom of man
So that our future may be bright
I don’t want to die
But if death is what it takes
Then I won’t be shy
For our country’s sake
I will push all through the night
And pray for my brothers
That we win this fight
So we can call our mothers
And tell her we are okay
That we will live to fight another day.
