When I Was Your Age

Location

When I was your age,

The sky was purple

The geese were green and flew home for winter.

When I was your age,

The sun set blue

and rose from the watery deep and vibrant maroon.

When I was your age,

everybody danced wherever they went

and shown as bright as the stars.

When I was your age,

We lived and loved like no tomorrow,

but of course tomorrow came.

When I was your age,

The Aurora Borealis could be seen wherever you went

and night and day were one and the same.

When I was your age,

The world was new and shiney.

How I wish the world is now

as it was,

When I was your age.
