When I am weak ... a matter of ...
When I am weak
2 Corinthians 12:10
10 Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles,
with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
It is not choosing weakness through the power of the will?
Or rather disbelieving ... in one’s own strength?
Distrust in one’s own talents ... seems like a good start
to keep from self-exaltation and pride to any length.
A common ill among Christians ... is falling in this trap.
Self starts ruling partially ... and slowly will take over
from the Holy Spirit ... Who imprisoned the selfish heart
but they have no peace in their search for a four leaf-clover.
A self-denying life cannot be guided by our own desires.
All the later earns ... is temporary admiration of man.
Until our bodies will collapse ... in self-confrontation
because God’s Life refuses to be enslaved to the will of man.
Work that God has not ordered ... cannot ever receive His strength.
Solely through obedience ... we’ll experience His Life in us.
Present our bodies a living sacrifice ... and in such not control it
so our lives and our future will be God’s Who’ll breathe new life in us.
What worried us before ... cannot shake us now.
The enemy will remind us ... that living like this is risky.
To belong to God absolutely ... will secure us in His Hand
and nothing can befall us now for the awareness of God is with me.
Nothing can befall me now without His knowledge or permission.
Whatever attack may come ... is just an indication
of His special purpose and His unfailing protection
as I travel through this life ... to my final destination.
If Christ is my master and my body a living sacrifice
I am not longer responsible ... if I live in total obedience.
The battle is the Lord’s ... all I need is to exercise faith
for eating, sleeping and drinking is not life’s only experience.
Death is pre-eminently ... a progressive matter
relentlessly devouring anything in its path.
It can strike at any time without really selecting
victims which are caught ... in situations close and far.
God Himself is more precious ... than the gifts He bestows.
Do we appreciate Him ... really for Who He really is?
Or do we like His blessings more ... which give us security
and do we like His gifts more ... than His Blessedness.
