When The Heart Stops Pumping

In silence, the monitor beeps.

One button and it all stops.

And now he sleeps.

Hospitals give most the creeps,

The dim lights and dark halls.

In silence, the monitor beeps.

They say death comes in heaps,

Which is the sad part of life.

And now he sleeps.

The janitor sweeps,

Unobstructed by his surroundings.

In silence, the monitor beeps.

In the room all weeps.

His timer is almost empty,

And now he sleeps.

Between life and death he leaps,

Too soon he is taken away.

In silence, the monitor beeps.

And now he sleeps.
