What's In A Sunset

There is a moment in time,

That lies between the day and the night;

A time when the sun and the moon briefly touch,

Rejoicing in their meeting by the blending of light;

An autumn breeze offers a soft chill,

Whispering sweetly of change and future;

The wind assures the fallen leaves are not still,

And the edge of a luminous pearl emerges;

Here in this twilight,

Two great entities become one;

These ancient guardians of dark and light,

Whose meeting can be comparable to none;

Once their painting is done,

The moon smiles as the sun moves on,

Giving her dearest friend the strength to rise again,

For another piece of Earth to be replenished by the Sun.

The stained glass of the moment is not forgotten,

As Nature beholds this blessed meeting,

It is the most revered moment in time,

Because in this greeting,

Love can be understood.
