We would live in the moment.

Many say this is the age of technology

Society filled with mindless bodies

Eyes touch screens rather than the eyes of friends

Only focusing on megapixels and gigabytes.

Slides and swings in once crowded playgrounds now are only touched by the wind.

Staying inside is the new norm

Texting has replaced playing,

Online chats interrupt games of kickball in the backyard.

Smartphones at the dinner table have changed us.

We need to stop to smell the roses,

See the sun,

Feel the breeze,

And appreciate those around us.

Looking up from our screens could change the world.
