What the world taught me
Location
When I asked about the important people they said:
The poet is useless
The musician insane
The artist waste time
The dancer the same
Doctors make us better
Officers keep us safe
Businessmen keep the money flowing
And parents teach you so you won’t make mistakes
When I was in school I learned:
Creativity is a waste
Life is all about money
War is necessary
And everything must be planned ahead
The philosophers will fail
Along with everyone who couldn’t become important
When I was with my friends I heard:
Money is nice, but they print more everyday
Medicine is alright, but we can’t think of new cures
War is hell, but it seems to be important
Officers are corrupt, but we keep the peace somehow
When I was alone with myself at night, I realized:
The poets, the artists, the dancers and the musicians make up life
They make the world colorful while proving that they are successful
Creativity is precious and those gifted with it should not fail to use it
Money is okay but we don’t need war, our lives should be a march for peace
The philosophers are the true teachers, the messengers of everything Holy and good
They teach the body, the soul, the mind and the heart altogether
And are the only people who should be deemed important
When I tried to share this with everyone:
Majority of the people took offense
Many people simply ignored me
Some people thought I needed help
Few people even considered my ideas
No one had listened
Yet everyone had heard
But when I shared what I had learned with you:
You eagerly listened and judged accordingly
You considered my ideas and even changed a few of your own
You understood why life could feel so empty at times
You understand why your parents told you they teach you to not make mistakes-
For they too were enlightened once, but no one listened so they gave up
But that is the fault that must be fixed this generation
For you and I will not stop until everyone knows that all the arts that create Euphoria
Are the very essence of life itself.
