What We Are

We are, all of us, the now generation

We are, each and every one of us, the corporeal yet disembodied manifestation of technology

In our hands we hold the power of two centuries of technological evolution

In our hands we hold the power to change and shape the world

We have all the tools necessary to achieve success

We have all that we need, and still more than enough

We are, all of us, the now generation

We are, all of us,  the generation of tomorrow

We are, each and every one of us, the products of a multitude generations, each seeded in progressivism

In our hearts we possess empathy capable of passing legislation

In our hearts, not our ears, we hear the definition of equality

We shall see no social injustice go unchallenged

We shall see fight for the right of all our brothers and sisters

We are, all of us, the generation of tomorrow

We are, all of us, called that generation

We are, each and every one of us, called stereotypes, aliases cloaking our true selves

With our actions we will invalidate the biased opinion of our ignorant elders

With our actions we will pave a road to true understanding of one another

Even so, we will always share common beliefs and values

Even so,  we will continue to be residents of a misconceived generation

We are, all of us, called that generation

We are, all of us, the generation of individuals

We are,  each and every one of us, a unique creation molded by our two teachers: time and experience

Though we share experiences, we each perceive life's’ lessons differently

Though we share this generation, we each contribute to it in our own way

Let society dictate our mindset, so that we may defy it utterly

Let society urge on us the old ways, so that we may cast it out and begin anew

We are, all of us, the generation of individuals

We are, all of us, the generation of the future

We are, each and every one of us, a significant milestone in humanities’ quest towards a single yet diverse people

In time we shall build upon the foundations bequeathed to us by our elders

In time we shall entrust our wills, hopes, and dreams, to our own children

We shall endeavour to resolve the many quandaries and issues of our past

We shall endeavour to set forth a new generation, superior to all prior

We are, all of us, the generation of the future

In this generation, dubbed Y, we possess the potential of all those who have come before us

It is for this very reason that success and prosperity for all, is a must

Through trials and tribulations, and transgressions and treachery, shall we traverse this land until we triumph

And reach the utopian society of truth, understanding, and everlasting peace that is presently shrouded in a cloak of ignorance.
