Math is everywhere………. it is in everything,

In outer space where men dare,

 To the time when school bells ring.

 

 Cell phones, laptops and TVs

 Dishwashers, thermometers, and movies,

There is math and equations at every step,

Whether it’s kindergarten or college prep.

 

Adding, subtracting, multiplication and division,

 Most paired operations, are opposites for a reason,

Subtraction is a minus, addition a plus,

Both are routine, so why create a fuss?

 

You gain if you multiply, and lose when you divide,

Learning math is truly, an exhilarating ride!

Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry or Algebra 2

Once in high school, you got to pass them too!

 

Math is in accounting, mountaineering, and agriculture,

As it is, in engineering and underwater adventure,

From cooking, building, and sewing,

To fashion, medicine and drawing…….

 Hey, you cannot deny-  Math is inspiring!

 

Math is everywhere, it is in everything,

It’s in daily prayer, it’s in every being.

Math is to our left, as it is to the right,

Math happens during day, more so at night.

 

Whether it’s a Circle, rectangle or a square,

Shapes are pretty common, as you are aware,

Pyramid, cone, prism or a cube,

A ball is a sphere, just as cylinder is a tube.

 

Singing and dancing or be it the dramas,

              Word-processing, with colons and commas,

Math is in chemistry, manufacturing and architecture,

As it is in biology, pharmacy and acupuncture.

 

                                           A grain of salt, livestock, or the mighty Ocean,

Electric cars, slow cookers, or planetary motion,

From watching calories while munching chips,

 To water conservation and paying the tips.

 

 

The human body is a marvel; it has Math too,

              Better eat healthy and exercise, or your body stages a coup.

From the volume of your blood, to the number of bones,

It’s all about numbers; take care, or prepare for transplants and loans.

 

Global warming and the Environment, are percentages,

              Planting trees and car-pooling, have unique advantages.

Walk if you can, and keep those gas guzzlers away,

10,000 steps a day, keeps most illnesses at bay.

  It also reduces pollution, even if by a fraction.

Going green is trendy, and those saved dollars do come handy.

 

Without Math there would be no reason,

For time, temperature, or season,

No careers, technology or training,

Would have purpose, direction or meaning.

 

Math really is, in everything we do,

You cannot dispute this, because it is true.

Without it, life would be incomprehensible,

 Let’s just face it- Math is indispensible.

 

So friends, it’s time to wind up, and conclude,

Math is a champion, Math is absolute!

It is in the Arts, as well the Sciences,

Math surprises you in different disguises.

Math is life! Math really is fun!
