what makes me

I am that which made me

I am my family

my friends

my dear loved ones

I am the music

thrumming through my veins

my soul

I am my history

my nationality

my mixed heritage

I am the knowledge

buzzing through my brain

my mind

But that is all history.

I am here,

now,

Breathing

Smelling

Tasting

Feeling.

I am all that which encompasses me.

Yet.

I am no passive player dozing in my life,

no amiable face without a thought.

I am not that.

I am not that.

I am something else.

I am the wind, the breeze, the air.

I encompass all that I share.

I have this strength inside me,

you see.

I have a strength inside me,

and that is what forges me.
