Some say that love is in giving a present,

when receiving a gift it really is pleasant.

But the love that they have is usually lost,

if the present in question doesn't have a high cost.

Others say that love is no more than a word

To demean love as such is simply absurd

Love consists of feelings and actions,

Without these, there will be no attraction.

I say that love is when two persons will change,

Being the best that they can in this exchange,

Love only works if it is returned
