What is love?

Love.

What does it mean?

An affection, feeling, action, words?

It can be more, it can be less.

Love can be simple; it can be complicated.

But it doesn't have to be what you get.

This feeling, this emotion, is a mother's caring hand.

A father's kind word. A siblings' hug.

A lover's soft breath. Tears wept for someone's death.

It can be a service, a chore done for someone.

Love in not easily angered or abusive.

It is not selfish and doesn't keep a score.

Love has equanimity and is kind.

It can be in the smallest, simplest detail.

Love protects, trusts, and hopes.

It is what makes life worth living. Without it?

We are nothing.
