What is love?

Love is something great and grand.

The definition, not written clearly in sand.

Some believe in true love-- stirs on your first date,

Others define it simply as the opposite of hate.

Some say it lasts forever,

Although there's the thought it comes and goes.

Several believe in loving everyone-- friends or foes.

There is the love shared with family,

And love among friends.

Even lower levels of love, like for fashion trends.

Everyone has a love for different things,

From sports, to music, to diamond rings.

Love is a strong, powerful emotion.

Holding the key to a great deal of commotion.

With love's definitions, we have only begun,

Because it has a different meaning to everyone.

To me, love is a passion-- pure, strong, and true?
