What Jesus Sees

Jesus,

Hanging from His cross,

Looks at me

With His mighty eye

But what does He see?

Does He see where I'm going?

Or does He see where I've stopped?

Does He see me?

And what does He see?

Someone deep in thought?

Or someone too clouded by Ego's dance?

Does He see me?

What will He see?

Someone paralyzed like a bedridden child?

Or someone too lazy to build a house for myself?

Does He see me?

And what is He seeing?

A worker doing my job?

Or an actor playing the role of a mask-wearer?

Does He see me?

And where is He seeing?

My heart on mountains of snow?

Or in the depths of a darkened, white-washed tomb?

Does He see me?

Jesus,

Watches from His throne

And tries to pinpoint where I should go

But how do I get there?
