What if...

What if people were purple?

With orange and green stripes,

and everyone looked the same,

There were no different types.

Would there have been racism?

A fight with blacks and whites?

A struggle of who looks better,

And who has this and that rights.

Would there have been the Holocaust?

hate against people,

Bloodshed and sorrow,

No such thing as equal.

So many what ifs.

What if all people were stupid,

They couldn’t spell BOOK.

What if there was no form of education

And we were all crooks.

Would there have been cell phones and medical treatments,

To survive the days?

Or just alcohol and blunts,

To calm our ways.

So many what ifs.

What if there was never any war,

And not just the physical kind.

The ones where thousands of soldiers and innocent people,

Were killed for mankind.

But the war within ourselves,

In our minds.

What if one person changed the way we see,

Make us blind.

Because the battle with ourselves,

Is what we first should find.

And who knows?

Maybe this could fix it all,

The problems in our society,

And the things that make us fall.

Change is good,

And should not be feared.

But then again there are so many what ifs,

It will never be clear.
