What If?

What if I were 6 inches tall?

What if there was no shopping mall?

What if computers were nowhere to be seen?

All over the world, there’d be scores of bored teens.

What if time didn’t matter?

What if glass never shattered?

What if Jesus hadn’t died on the cross?

Without Him, we would be completely lost.

What if no one teased or made fun of each other?

What if we called everyone sister and brother?

What if the world of Harry Potter were true?

What if their misfortune happened to me too?

What if my parents hadn’t gotten a divorce?

My life would probably be on a different course.

What if you could breathe with gills like a fish?

What if you were granted your deepest wish?

What if everyone was perfect in every way?

The world would be a rather boring place to stay.

What if the Titanic had stayed afloat?

It would be an extremely ancient boat.

What if honors and AP classes didn’t cause stress?

Then I wouldn’t be ensnared inside this awful mess.

What if this poem is now done?

I’ll have to write a new one.
