The vast waters rippling beneath it
Poetry is a treasure that one finds
At the bottomless
Pleasurable pit.

To many poets
Poetry carries different meaning
To others poetry is love
Poetry is hell
Poetry is depression
Poetry is sadness
And poetry is language.

To me poetry is about
Not knowing a collage of words
To me poetry is
My worship place
As it fills my temple
With joy and laughter
Tears
Anger
Beauty
Horror
Comedy
Politics
And acceptance.

Poetry is about revealing
What you have experienced
Or what you are experiencing
Poetry is what you feel
What you see
About sharing your thoughts with others
To touch people’s hearts.

Poetry is
About reconnecting
Your inner core
Of certain emotions
Inspirations
Feelings
For that current moment. Poetry is life.
That is the meaning of poetry.
