What Do You See?

What do you see

In your daily life?

Do you see me,

Your Pain and Strife?

What about it

That you do not like?

You look to sit,

To avoid that spike.

How about her,

The girl called Guilt?

But you only see a burr

On the wall you have built.

Maybe this guy

Whose name is Shame?

Alas you see a lie

That you wish never came.

You never suppose

That they may show

A beautiful rose

That they help grow.

You do not look,

For you would be

Thoroughly shook

By what you do not see.
