Welcome to my life
Where there's misery in happiness
And joy in every tear
Where my room made of glass
Shatters with every faked smile
Because privacy doesn't exist in this world
And only liars get what they want

Welcome to this world of mine
Where fear is constant
And real power hides in the shadows
Where hearts break silently
In the dark of the day
Because light comes after sunset
And my demons sleep at night

Welcome to the place I live
Where a full house is empty
And chatter is noisy air
Where broken things do not belong
With the whole and complete
Because unhappiness
Causes discomfort

Welcome to the depths of my soul
Where knowledge crushes innocence
And experience turns to pain
Where winning doesn't satisfy
But losing drives is insane
Because, yes, status matters
And good is never enough

Welcome to my mind
Where questions are never answered
And nothing is ever clear
Where reason and emotion blend
Intertwined, not self-defined
Because the mind and the heart
Can't be all that separate

So welcome to my heart
Where love is an unproven concept
And faith is a lonely, dying spark
Where certainty is not reachable
But the impossible is
Because everything is upside down
Welcome to my life
