Weightless

Location

I'm on this beautiful mountain, catching my breath at the peak.
I've been searching everywhere, but I can't find the words to speak.
Hands are trembling, as the trek has been rough, precarious.
I've gotten this far, the voyage's made me tough, but delirious.
Tough, tough as things like rebar and nails,
Yet soft, like the breeze flowing through sea sails.
I've hit a few pot holes along the way,
But I'm just glad to see the light of day.

The view is great, peaceful, and quiet
If there was a price on this moment,
Open shop, because I'd like to buy it

But it's time to get off this mountain and do the unimaginable.
Time to take the leap, grab my parachute and pull.
I'm departing a safe haven to pursue what I love,
As happiness should go with me, like peace goes to a dove.

I nervously edge towards the summit, getting nearer.
Purposely let go of the outcrop, can see things even clearer.

I'll rely on the wind to take me wherever it sees fit.
I'll love the journey, and just love being a part of it.

I'll leave my fears at the top, as I manifest my drop.
Over the edge now, gravity commences my freefall.
It feels like freedom, like a complete free-for-all

Under my chute, the wind kisses me ever so tenderly.
I feel like I can breathe again, like it was meant to be.

This is what's required of me to live life at it's best.
To follow my dreams, without fear of being weightless.
