We were savages

We lived with the land.
One day strangers came,
wearing garments in which they could not hunt or gather food.
How do they sustain themselves?
With magic lightning and thunder they killed my family. They forced us to provide their food. They stole our lands. They annihilated our tribal ways.
They taught us to Love For One Another. To
Love Your Neighbor as Yourself. To Do Unto Others as You would have them do Unto You.
They made us civilized. With their power of instant death.
