We the people of the United States

Are not perfect

No matter

How much we 

Want to believe it.

No matter 

How much we pretend to be.

We the people of the United States

Need God.

Our land says

“In God We Trust”.

But how often do we

Follow those words.

How often do we

Trust in a mere man.

Our president

We the people of the United States

Have a past.

But who doesn’t?

We the people of the United States

Need to 

Turn from what 

Leads us astray

And 

Actually believe

“In God We Trust”.
