We Dare to Wish to Rise

No, it’s not I’m hiding,
I lie disguised by the storm.
Can’t be that I’m running
I am captured by the swarm.
The Body came to free me but
The Mind returned with walls.
Who cares to know who’s screaming
When the world is built on calls?
Lanterns don’t appreciate
What being lost entails
Futures fail to rise unless
The red ship stows her sails.
Storms, they live and die to taste
A fearful whispered song.
But what becomes of those who
The foul swarm relies upon?
And who to love the Body when
The Mind, at last, is gone?
