To stand up and have a voice

There are youth and teens

Traveling on a downward spiral ravine

The pressure of peers

Doing unsafe things

But we are more than stereotypes and statistics

More than what's "cool" in the school cliques

If we focus on success like we focus on what's "cool"

And focus on books that we read in our school

If we use our brain and our wisdom

There are no limits on what we can become

We are smart

In our minds and in our hearts

For we are the future

We are the new generation
