We are too much for the World

Fri, 11/30/2012 - 19:56 -- mparish

The world is too much with us; late and soon,
It must be shared with the other creatures that share our home.
Factories are built, the ice disappears,
The polar bears start dying over the years,
New houses come up, while the forests are gone,
For all of the forest animals, everything is wrong.
In the Gulf, the oil has spilled and gone awry,
And with oil-covered wings, the gulls can no longer fly.
The world is too much with us, late and soon.
We are destroying the world, we must stop,
Nature is not only for us, as we humans must share,
And care for the birds, trees, and polar bear.
