Bombs bursting, fire's blazing, gunshots roaring,

People dying, children crying, humanity is dying.

The agony, the horror, the trauma.

What are we fighting for?

They say we are fighting to preserve and create freedom around the world.

How are we ever going to attain this when we, as humans,

are destroying and killing one another in war.

We instead need to unite as one.

Standby one another in times of need,

In times of sorrow.

Accept & learn from each other's differences.

In order for there ever to be peace & freedom,

We need to put away our weapons,

Put aside our stereotypes, and

Put aside our prejudices.

We need to open our hearts, and

Open our minds to one another.

We need to accept one another's

flaws and imperfections.

We need to accept each other's

culture, race, and religion.

Why judge, hurt, or demean someone

about something they cannot control nor change.

United we should stand,

United we can rise,

United we will conquer.
