We Are Here
Poetry my armor, my voice, streotype pesticide
I carry hope, change, banish self doubt, in yoth like me.
Who you call that girl gives name to others with her word,
define youself.
I use my lack of oxygen to my advantage,
To give that teen who is still trying to accept the way he moves throgh he world an advatage.
Hop, sway, and bounce to your own rhythm my brother,
you've got the moves to make change.
I remind the little who can't control her mscle movement that she is beauitful.
Little one I see a blossom in you, unlike any other, waiting.
As a poet I ignite potential
lay my sorrows and my stugges down,
For all to see,
'Cause they show, I am here
not I a made it through, but I am here.
I carry hope, change, banish self doubt,
I lay my struggles down to show that better days wll come.
I use my lack of oxyen to my advanage,
As a poet I lift my commnity up.
A communty that is differetly able.
Poetry, my way to show not we made it through, but we are here.
