Wayfaring Traveler

Wayfaring Traveler

By Emma Doyon

A wild life runs free, uncaged in the sea

She gallops mad upon beaches of grace

A wayfaring traveler wields Earth’s key

Stardust adorns her skin like jewelry

She wears tattered robes of cotton and lace

A wild life runs free, uncaged in the sea

She is tainted by those who are greedy

Her feet touch galaxies, dancing through space

A wayfaring traveler wields Earth’s key

Volumes of questions float through her thoughts daily

Searching for life’s meaning, but found no trace

A wild life runs free, uncaged in the sea

Looking through the core of her complex story

Bearing knowledge from a remote time and space

A wayfaring traveler wields Earth’s key

Only pausing to view Earth’s rich beauty

Of which human’s succeeded to deface

A wild life runs free, uncaged in the sea

A  wayfaring traveler wields Earth’s key
