Waves

Sat, 11/12/2016 - 14:34 -- mak003

Stuck in the sand my feet are deep -

Deep enough I'm out of reach -

Reaching for the sand for just a piece -

Peace I have found waiting at the beach -

Days go by and I'd swear you're gone -

Gone is the calm when the waves turn on -

On and off, off and on, captured by the sound -

Sound of the waves, resetting my heart pound -

Caught on the waves, you ebb me along -

Along with every emotion current and strong -

Strong enough to rock me insane -

Insane for you unfortunately I remain -

As the tide goes out, you pull me back in -

In comes the tide, and I'm swimming again -

Again lost with myself in the middle of the sea -

Seeing how my mind wont set you free -

Before I dive, I write my will -

Willing, I submerge into a seafoam veil -

Veiled by the water to the surface I rise -

Rising to drain the air from the skies
