Watching the Sunrise

There I was,
Watching the sunrise.
Momentarily staring into space; feeling the pain drift to its hiding place.
But it was only for a moment.
My black hair floating in the breeze
My eyes, lingering;
Holding onto what was once real.
As the sun came up,
Problems start to reappear; and I'm stuck
Trying to make them disappear.
Knowing my fears will never go away,
Holding onto past memories.
It makes everything so unclear.
Our emotions running wild, Questions burning at my soul.
I'm stuck here; Watching the sunrise
Wishing everything was alright. As twilight subsides.
Dreaming of tomorrow standing here all alone.
Trying to get awat from what could have been.
My eyes lingering, just one moment too long,
because I saw your beatiful face
overtake
the sunrise.
