Watahantowet

Location

The sea breeze slices through the blaring music,

attacking the alien disturbance,

penetrating my personal bubble,

making me feel alive.

Salty breaths ripple against my neck

as leaves, ghostly extensions of arms,

whip against falling grains of sand

peppering the holes

of damp sneakers.

A seagull's call selfishly wraps around

the water's echo

like liquid magnets,

drowning any resemblances of thought.

A blaze of sea strikes my wall,

overflowing my sight,

the passages of breath,

the hairs atop my skin,

the gasp of my breath.

Showers and waves purify the restlessness,

and glimpses of an eternal calm

appear in sight.

Until my mind wanders-

Where are you?

Where could we be?
