Wasting Your Breath

Location

Rambling is a nasty habit
Of filling up too many spaces
To suggest progress.
I don’t think it’s fair to your yourself.
The words are not spilling
out the way they need to
and you are wasting ink.
An honest word can last pages,
even years,
but a ramble
Can turn focus
into smudges.
Today we are fast and tomorrow we are gone.
So rambling is a waste of time.
Save your breath for a hearty laugh
or a small silent gasp.
Something worth breathing for…
