Warnings

Proverbs 5:12 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 You will say, “How I hated discipline!
If only I had not ignored all the warnings!

Isaiah 59:1 New Living Translation (NLT)

Warnings against Sin

59 Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you,

nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.

Man-made

Drive me towards sanity I have a one-way ticket

It was bought and paid for by someone else

Escaping temporarily from this nagging sickness

That’s where I hoped to find the answers by myself

Leaning back on a seat formed by frustration

It seems to fit me perfectly as I’m leaning back

Hand to the plow with sleep depravation

I am ready to harvest with a crick in my neck

How to get up now has become a major issue

Wherever I pull or tug I am still going down

Always sinking deeper searching for a tissue

To wipe my artificial tears being dressed as a clown

I am not the only one in this man-made circus

Sheep and goats in the stands watching this escapade

Clapping and laughing and howling as a surplus

At my frustration in this world destined to fail

“Let me be”, I pleaded to my inner self

“I know right from wrong”, I am here to suffer

Warnings not unheeded as you surely can tell

An oft-repeated song but not much of a buffer
