Warmth
We fell through the crust by our own choosing.
Cracking, beneath our boots, and with a clamour
We disappeared.
You are angelic
Floating in the crystalline water
Snowflakes maintain your eyelashes.
I breathe out preservation
Reaching for your thin, ashen hand.
My tears are indistinguishable.
I want to be lost.
Loving, I am entirely content
To be immortalized with you in the lightest of blues.
We are the center of the earth,
Crushing in by gravity,
and yet I yearn to be closer.
With the last of my life,
I breathe words into the stiffening bubbles.
