Warmth

When I'm feeling cold

Beaten, battered and blue

I search for the light and the warmth in what I do

These things that keep me cheery, they never get old

When school comes crashing

Overwhelming, stressful and needy

One idea comes flashing

I'm in need of some serious reading

When I've had a rough day

I'm exhausted and flustered and dead

I find a cozy spot on the couch to lay

And unwind my mind with a couple of movies before bed

The best of treats

When've lifes got me like an injured dove

Is to curl up beside you and still your heat

A couple minutes in the arm of my love

Gives me the warmth to carry on
