War Isn't Worth It

Baby brother please stop screaming.

Baby brother I'm sorry you had to watch your mother scream til she took her last breath.

I'm sorry you had to watch your father lose his life in order to save you.

I'm sorry your newborn sister was burned to death.

I'm sorry your neighbors were shot to death.

I'm sorry the home you were raised in, laughed in, played in, cried in, is now burned to the ground.

Baby brother I'm sorry you were born into a world where no one cares about eachother.

I'm sorry the creatures we call "human" just want to start war over words, beliefs, skin color, land, and paper...

Baby brother I've lost millions of my family; clearly it's not enough.

I hear their screams everywhere I go.

I hear their cries when there's silence.

I see their bloody faces when I close my eyes.

They died for nothing, and all I wish I had was an explanation to "why?"

I just want to know, why?

....................................Baby brother please stop screaming.
