War and aftermath
Matthew 24:6 New English Translation (NET Bible)
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Make sure that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come.
War was looming and now started as the force has taken charge
Destruction now is commonplace as a legalized summation
The civilized has now departed and love became a farce
Depravity is now facing a tight embrace with degradation
Puppets move on either side for the same empty glory
The leaders rise and fall in their addiction to violence
With arms open wide and deploying all the gory
That always after all respects, life's beguiled by pretense
Instinct has taken over through founded habits taught
Survival, an angry hunger, which is forced into a gravel dish
Unleashed now from the cover as a character once sought
And is now an open flow of dung smelling like some rotten fish
How can one be nice with dripping blood-stained hands?
Driven through motivation based on “whose” survival
Convinced oneself of rights separating foes and friends
Based on just frustration towards a certain end’s arrival
You will never be the same as the smell will never leave
You shot all to pieces what was never really whole
At the start just like a game only to be left in grief
From which you want to flee to be hidden in a hyperbole
Only self is left with an after-taste of the final battle
Carrying into the future a foretaste of hell
Now you are bereft like a horse without a saddle
Locked up in a pasture with nothing left to tell
Justified you stand with your ankles in blood
Grimacing a smile based on a fill of emptiness
A hero in a land that died for its own good
Yes! It takes a while now to fulfill forgetfulness
You will be thrown aside when you are used up
Just a few will understand where you have been
You changed death for life by drinking from an empty cup
To represent your land over and over once again
Tears have long dried up and nightmares always repeating
Your children admire you thinking you’re a hero
You feel so washed up as it seems too late for complete healing
As you’re sliding down the wire far below the standard zero
